Our Team

Bennett McBride Jr. has faithfully served as General Manager of KHOY 88.1 FM for 29 years. While earning his degree in Telecommunications, McBride worked at the PBS station in Killeen, Texas, KNCT-TV. Since 1979, McBride has worked in the broadcast industry throughout the state of Texas including Killeen, Dallas, Midland-Odessa, Temple and Laredo. 

McBride is passionate about maintaining the best radio broadcast technology can offer and is proud to serve our community through positive programming. Bennett McBride is also the Director of Communications for the Diocese of Laredo since its inception in 2000.

Bennett is married to Mary Lou and they have four children: Bennett, Briana, Matthew & Mark.

Goyo Lopez has been a beloved part of the KHOY family for many years, serving as the cheerful voice that brightens weekday mornings. As the Morning Host, Goyo shares daily prayers and uplifting fun facts that bring joy, hope, and light to listeners on their morning drive.

Known for his thoughtfulness and warm spirit, Goyo is an active member of the community and the Church, always finding ways to inspire and connect with others. His deep faith and love for people make him a cherished presence both on the air and in everyday life.
